• Awareness programme
  Vasantha Memorial Trust in association with Roshni and Periar Nagar Residents Welfare Association will conduct a `Cancer Awareness Programme' on March 18 at 10 a.m. at Periar Nagar, Vadavalli.

• Workshop
  A two-day workshop will be organised by the Department of Civil Engineering of Coimbatore Institute of Technology and the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (I), Coimbatore Centre, on March 13 and 14. The aim of the workshop is to educate engineers about the recommendations of the Bureau of Indian Standards. A.R.Santhakumar from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, and Barry Davidson of New Zealand, will be the resource persons of the workshop. Around 100 delegates from different parts of the State are expected to participate in it. K. Thangaraj, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry, will inaugurate.
